A quick word about me and Bob, many of our guests have suggested that there should be an ‘About Us’ page on the web site, not because they think that anyone would find this interesting, more that potential guests could then see what we both look like so here we go. I look like this.

The small person on my lap is my nephew Thomas, giving me a good excuse to try out the swings in the children’s play area at the lake in Chaillac

And Bob looks like that!

Maybe an unlikely duo to be running a bed and breakfast in the
centre of France but we are thoroughly enjoying ourselves and our
guests seem very happy.

Bob was found chained up in a car park, abandoned for whatever
reason by his former owner, he had obviously been beaten
and generally ill treated, it took a long time for him to trust me enough
to even come inside the house, now he is a great softie, just give
him your empty yoghourt pot to lick out and you have a friend for life.

As for me I am having great fun doing all the things that I like best, meeting people, cooking and restoring old houses.

Those who have stayed here will know that I also like to travel so during the winter months I tend to take off for a while visit old haunts and explore new ones, next year I am planning a special trip, as a 40th birthday treat for
myself I intend to visit Machu Picchu, the "Lost City of the Incas in Peru.

This year I have been very busy, I have bought the house next door and am happily renovating, my aim is to provide separate accommodation for me and Bob and two more letting rooms, the success of Chaillac Bed and Breakfast has way surpassed my expectations, 2010 is only our second full season and we are having to say no to many enquiries so hopefully with 2 more bedrooms we shall be able to say yes!
