Those who have stayed here will know that I travel a lot, during the winter months I tend to take off for a while to explore the far-flung, exotic parts of the world. I have been lucky enough to go to South & Central America where I trekked to Machu Picchu, watched the sunrise over the Mayan Temples of Tikal in Guatemala and paddled a dugout canoe down the Amazon. I have also cycled across Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Thailand. I have not made my mind up on where to go this winter but am considering trekking Mount Kilimanjaro or cycling from Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) to Singapore; it all depends on how this season goes. Hopefully, it will be another good year. Over the last couple of years, I have been very busy not only with the B&B but with the renovations on the house next door. I am pleased to announce that having now finished the house next door, I have my own separate accommodation so the whole of number 5 is dedicated to our guests, giving them a private lounge and dining room, and also giving us the Red Room; a brand new letting room with bathroom with a walk-in shower. Ceux qui sont restés ici savent que je voyage beaucoup. Pendant les mois d'hiver, j'ai l’habitude de partir quelque temps pour explorer les régions reculées et exotiques du monde. J'ai eu la chance d'aller en Amérique du Sud et Centrale où j'ai fait un trekking jusqu'au Machu Picchu, regardé le soleil se lever sur les temples mayas de Tikal au Guatemala et descendu l'Amazone en pirogue. J'ai également traversé le Costa Rica, le Sri Lanka, l'Afrique du Sud et la Thaïlande à vélo. Je n'ai pas encore décidé où j'irai cet hiver, mais j'explore des idées comme faire une randonnée sur le Kilimandjaro ou d’aller de la ville d’Ho Chi Minh (anciennement Saigon) à Singapour à vélo; tout dépendra de la façon dont se déroule la saison. J’espère que ce sera encore une bonne année. Ces deux dernières années, j'ai été très pris non seulement par le B&B mais aussi par les rénovations de la maison voisine. J'ai le plaisir d'annoncer qu'ayant maintenant terminé ces travaux, j'ai mon propre logement séparé et l'ensemble du numéro 5 est dédié à nos invités, vous donnant ainsi un salon et une salle à manger privés et nous donnant la Chambre Rouge; une toute nouvelle chambre à louer avec une salle de bain à douche à l'italienne.
